NEW STAINLESS STEELS ROLLING MILL FOR MITTAL CORP LTD Mittal Corp LTD, an established manufacturer of Stainless Steel located in Indore India, has at beginning of March 2011 awarded Danieli Morgårdshammar Sweden for a new green-field wire rod and bar mill for the production of stainless steel and in particular grades. This project exploits the latest technological features for the production of special steels and in oparticula stainless steel grades. The supply starts from the billet charging, reheating furnace, a reversing roughing stand, associated front and back mechanization, a continuous mill train of P600 horizontal and vertical stands, a low reduction wire rod block P800 new Delta series followed by laying head and coil facilities. The bar line constists in a Quenching and Tempering Bar (QTB) system followed by the dividing hear, cooling bed and cut to length system associated to a bundling system. The supply is a fully technological package from Danieli Morgårdshammar, Sweden including the reheating furnace from Danieli Centro Combustion Pune, India. The designed capacity of the mill is 150,000tpy and will be able to produce sizes from 5.5mm up to 75mm in Stainless Steel (AISI 200, 300, 400 series), Mild Steel, Medium Carbon & Carbon Steel and Alloy steel, starting from a billet size of 160mm square with a weight up to 1,2 ton.
